WFI, with funding from the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) has implemented a 4-year project aimed at improving access to comprehensive sexual reproductive health information and services in Benue, Kwara and Nasarawa States of Nigeria.
This project has successfully trained 48 health care providers on Family Planning (FP) information and service, as well as 45 youth counsellors in non-prescriptive FP methods, data and referral management, community mobilization, and other aspects of Youth Friendly Health Services. So far 9,107 young women and girls has received safe & comprehensive SRH services including PAC services and post procedure contraception, and our sexual reproductive health (SRH) information and services awareness-raising events, done across project areas in Nigeria, have benefited 24,183 persons.
